Lithuanian Folk Art Institute of Chicago Gallery

The Lithuanian Folk Art Institute of Chicago is a non-profit educational and cultural organization whose purpose is to preserve and research Lithuanian folk art from the past as well as to create, develop and foster modern expressions of that heritage. We collect, research and preserve Lithuanian hand woven regional folk costumes, sashes, various textiles, decorated Easter eggs, straw mobiles, wood carvings together with other items on display from our archives. Various exhibits, book presentations, folk art demonstrations, lectures and weaving classes are some of our activities.

The Lithuanian Folk Art Institute’s gallery is part of the Lithuanian Museum of Art.
