This touching and beautifully told film explores Lithuanian life in America — a community that, across time, distance, and generations, has preserved its language, traditions, memories, and sense of belonging. The story reveals not only a historical journey, but also an inner landscape — that “village” carried in the heart, even when living far from Lithuania.
Following the screening, stay for a conversation with Daina Čyvienė and Darius Polikaitis — longtime members of the Dainava community, executive producers of the film, and participants whose personal stories and reflections became an integral part of this documentary. You are invited not just to watch, but to gather, reflect, and connect. An evening dedicated to memory, continuity, and community. Donation – $10.
The film will be shown in the Lithuanian language with English language subtitles. All are welcome!
